The anomaly scan

Around 20 weeks a systematic assessment is made of fetal anatomy, biometry, placenta, amniotic fluid and other parameters. Imaging conditions and gestational age influence what can be assessed.

Blood tests and gestational diabetes

The O’Sullivan test is used for screening. An altered result is not automatically a diagnosis and may require an oral glucose tolerance test or another assessment under the applicable protocol.
